This Pampering 30 Minute Routine to Keep Your Feet Soft & Healthy This Winter Season
3 Pampering Tips to Keep Your Feet Soft & Healthy This Winter Season
Our feet come in all different shapes, sizes, and appearances – but they all have one thing in common: they need love, too. Boy, do we owe our feet big time! We’re always standing on them, running on them, or stubbing them on the corners of very hard objects. But outside of the occasional pedicure, we seemingly neglect them in the winter. Admit it, ladies: they’re not as cute in the winter as they are in the spring and summer when we’re showing them off.
We feel ya.
In the midst of the holiday chaos, doesn’t a little rest and relaxation sound good? Pamper those feet, girl! Try this 30-minute treatment to unwind and get those feet feeling good as new:
1. Soak your feet in a salt bath.
Grab your foot spa, a lobster pot, or even just sit on the edge of the bathtub. Dissolve some foot salts, like Gilden Tree’s Foot Soak Crystals, in hot water. Epsom salts can draw out toxins and impurities, while also softening your skin and restoring moisture. For extra spa-like power, drop some essential oils into the bath! Now, grab a steaming cup of tea and even throw on a mask and kick back and relax for about 15 minutes. (Or more, if you need it!)
2. Scrub, scrub, scrub.
Now it’s time to scrub away the dead skin and reveal that soft, glowing skin! Drizzle some of your favorite soaps or scrubs over a pumice stone or Gilden Tree’s Foot Scrubber and get to work! Pay extra attention to your heels and around your toes – those are the areas that easily callus and dry.
3. Moisturize for baby soft feet!
While your feet are still damp, grab a moisturizer like Gilden Tree’s Foot Cream, and rub it generously over your feet. If you need a little extra TLC, put some thick, warm fuzzy socks on to lock in that moisture overnight.
Though our feet are covered by boots and closed toe shoes in the winter, our feet still deserve the love and care we show ‘em during the summer. On a daily basis, try scrubbing your feet with an exfoliating scrub in the shower. This will keep your feet from drying and cracking – and will give you a quick spa-like treatment you can enjoy every day.
